Subject: 1940's "Our Town Today" effective for its time
This short film showed how The Citizen's Manpower Committee of Los Angelos was effective in dealing with the city's problems during the World War II years. It's upbeat tempo must have given a lot of confidence to the viewers.

Subject: Get me on that trolley!
A review of Los Angeles's effort to fight the war is profiled here by a city hall mouthpiece, who's main claim to fame is his curious pronounciation of "Angeles" as "Angle-ess". He stresses that because of the war effort, the city's problems would be multiplied, and that we should ride it out for the good of the city. Short, to the point, and no complaints here.
